Hey Holt Public!  Today, John and I enjoyed our conversation with the Assistant Director of Health and Nutrition Services at the Department of Education, Mr. Phil Chase.  Phil discussed summer food programs, school meals, and literacy.  He also supported the Holt Public school lunch program and gave a shout-out to our Food Service Director, Mr. Evan Robertson.  In addition to discussing school nutrition and school lunches, we also discussed the new mobile food and book bus that will hit the roads this summer in the District as well as several other important items related to the Township and the District respectively. 

Wednesday is the Celebration of Learning at the North Campus.  Join us as we celebrate learning from 6pm-8pm!

Finally, as a reminder, the mobile little free library will be giving away books in both parades on Monday.  We hope that you will join us on Monday in Dimondale at 11am or in Holt at 2pm!

We sure enjoyed our conversation with the leader of the Rams Tutoring Program, Ronda Levra.  Ronda described the tutoring program and also promoted a FUNraiser (bowling event) on June 1.  Although she is the leader of the Rams Tutoring Program, Ronda shared that without the Holt National Honor Society students, her program would struggle.  In addition to learning more about the Rams Tutoring Program, we also discussed several important dates related to the Township and District.

Here is our 131st Talk with us Tuesday Podcast!  Today, John and I enjoyed our conversation with the Delhi Township Parks and Rec Director, Mark Jenks!  Mark shared some info regarding the park system and encouraged everyone to get outside and enjoy the parks in our area!  In addition, John and I discussed several other things related to the Township and the District.  This weekend, the National Honor Society will be hosting the District Pride, Community Ride (bike tour) through the District!

Hey Holt Public!  John and I sure enjoyed our conversation with Deputy Bill Belanger from the Ingham County Sheriff's Office today!  Deputy Belanger discussed the new exterior bus cameras we have installed on many of our Holt Public buses.  The exterior cameras take photos of vehicles that run the red lights/stop arm and the photos are sent to the Sheriff's Office.  Citations are often written based on the footage we provide from the cameras.  Please drive with caution!  In addition to the great conversation with Deputy Belanger, we discussed some Township and District news respectively.
